Eligibility for Citizenship after ILR

Hi,

My name is Manavalan.

I came to UK in August 2005, and i applied for ILR in May 2011,
and got my ILR stamped with date as 23 May 2011.

So can i apply for Citizenship by August 2011 or do i need to wait for 1 year and apply in May 2012 only.

Could you please clarify about this.

On or after 23-May-12, provided you fulfil the standard requirements.
