Travel after application

Post by alex27 » Sun Sep 25, 2011 2:27 pm

Is it ok to travel out of the UK after you apply for naturalization? Even if this is extended travel to your home country, to visit family? I have not been able to travel for an extended period for the past 6 years due to absence requirements...Is it ok to do this now, as long as I return for the ceremony?

Given that your application has been received by UKBA, you may travel.

Stay 5 days after the application and you can leave. Make sure some one is there to answer any queries - further documents, problems with payment etc

osteophytes, if you click on the link in my response above you'll note that the OP received confirmation of application on 30 July .... that's 8 weeks ago!
