Applying AN and MN1 together

Post by khatana » Sat Oct 08, 2011 8:05 pm

Hi every one

I’m in a sort of a peculiar situation and I hope to get some answers here as I’ve tried reading a lot on UK BA’s website and couldn’t get specific answers.

Background:
I got IRL on the basis of LTR (10 years) a year ago and now it’s time to apply for citizenship. When I got ILR my dependents had to apply for an extension as my wife had not lived in the UK for 10 years and my kids were 4,2 and 3 months (all born in the UK). All my dependents have a 2 years dependent visa at the moment.
I know that my wife has to apply for ILR at the end of 2 years period and follow that route.

Questions:
  • Is it true that my kids [all under 18] because they were born in the UK before my ILR, are eligible to be registered for the citizenship since one of the parent (myself) has got an ILR? Or I will have to apply for them once my citizenship application is successful?

If it is possible then do I have to include them on the AN form?

Do I have to use AN forms for myself and MN1 for my kids? In this case do I need to pay a fee for my AN and a separate fee for MN1 (3 kids) or is there a cheap solution?
Thank you in advance for your help.

True. You can apply once granted ILR. No need to wait for BC.

No. Registration is done on a separate application (MN1).

One AN from for you. Three MN1 forms for you children. The AN fee is separate from MN1 fee (for 3 kids it's £1080 so you get 3 for the price of 2..)
