Seems machines are running quick these days! I truly feel for those who have been waiting for months and years in some case.

You and I are in the same batch it seems - My application was delivered on 5th, money debited on 10th too - Only difference, nothing in the mail for me today acknowledging the receipt.. Oh well

Hi Amz, Did you get 2 acknowledgment letters, 1 for you and 1 for your spouse or just 1?

I only received one letter which was addressed to me but it clearly states that "This is to acknowledge receipt of your applications". Then it states no. of applications: 2 and fee deducted £1812. So I am assuming they only send one acknowledgement letter for joint applications.

There seem to be lot of irregularities in how people receive their acknowledgement letter(s) = Some via email, some via post etc ... Not that I am overly worried about not receiving mine but logically it makes no sense - all that said, if its logical, it wont be UKBA

You are right. When I applied for mine I have not received any email. Now my husband has and plus a letter too
So no need to worry

Mostly they dispatch the letters quite earlier then we receive it. After dispatching its not their task then everything depends on the courier service how fast they act ...
