Another possible avenue to explore on father's side ...
Use ‘Form NS’ if you believe you have a claim to British nationality but you can’t apply for a British passport because you don’t have the documents you need.

You should read the ‘Guide NS’ before you apply
See https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... us-form-ns

Hi guys and girls!

I have an update.

I found out my dad got his citizenship by registration in 1981.
I got that document from the National Archives and made my UKF application, and posted it in the start of june.

16 days after I got an Email from UKBA:

"Thank you for submitting an application to the UK Visas & Immigration. Your application has been received and will be processed in due course."

I guess this is a new thing? I saw that others got letters.

Everything well... UNTIL...

28 of june...

I got an email from them telling me, that I did not send the paymentslip which I DID with the application. They made me sent my payment info by email back to them - totally unsafe, unencrypted mail, hope I do not get scammed

But the problem is, I haven't heard anything back since. They did not take any money out of my account, and I do not know if the reason they asked me to send the payment again, was because the cardinfo was invalid :?:

Well lets see...

But furthermore, when I got the mail from them, I saw that they spelled my lastname wrong, so my name in the casefile is Jenson instead of Jensen... I told them that in the mail, but has anyone tried the same?

Thanks,

Locked
