I called them at about 12-00 today and they said that a decision has been made, didnt let me know on the phone what it was. My heart is going to beat at double the rate till I see the brown envelope. I have been told that the letters (for both wife and me) were posted yesterday so hopefully may receive them tomorrow.

Thanks pal, I am sure you will receive your approval soon too, from your previous posts I know its in the post . From my case and rikken's case you can see how reliable royal mail second class delivery is, so keep your fingers crossed .

For me the journey is just beginning, next step ceremony, then passport application.

Thanks! Same here I expected it to drag out a bit longer. I requested a different council for the ceremony as to where I live so hopefully that gets sorted out OK.

Also nice to know that requesting the return of passport made no difference to the timeframes, which is contrary to a lot of the opinions on this board.

I cannot find the edit button, so I'll give a quick update here. I received a letter (dated 20th February) this morning from Ealing Council inviting me to the citizenship ceremony on Tuesday 25/02/2013. I am yet to receive the Home Office invitation. I have unsuccessfully tried to contact the council by phone. I have emailed them though. Hopefully the approval letter will come before Tuesday.

People applied in January has already received the approval by looking on January 14 timeline thread. I think it is really individual case to case basis- My case should be straight forward but may be I am from a 'risky' country and HO need to get some type of clearance from other departments . Also I think previous application history probably matter as well.

The usual response is "not complete", which I am assuming means not looked at yet. Don't think being LTD/Self Employed should make it any complicated.

When I called HO on 14.02.14, I was told that my application was in progress and HO was dealing with 03 November application. So, I thought I might not hear from them until March. But, today, I received the approval dated 17.02.14 ( Three days after I called them). I suppose that they are finalising all December applications.
