I can see that applications sent after mine have already been acknowledged and the payments have been processed. My bank balance is still the same: 15 days since the date of receipt by UKBA as of today and no notification letter from them if they had issues with the payment. How do they choose the criteria to process applications?

I am in a dilemma, i am yet to receive my acknowledgment letter, called home office three times in last 2 days.
1st Adviser = " it takes 3 to 4 weeks before acknowledgement is sent out, please wait"
2nd Adviser= " possibly payment is not cleared" informed him payment was cleared almost 2 weeks ago, reply: " ah it can take 2 to 3 weeks from date of payment before letter is sent out, please wait for it"
3rd Adviser = " your application is on the system, but we don't send out acknowledgment letter if application is made via NCS, its only for postal applications".

Different stories by every advisers. anyone in the same boat?

Question now: I have not received any communication since then, no letter of acknowledgement, o questions, ... totally nothing. Is this normal? Would you follow up or just wait?

Hi Dan, i am in the same boat as u, only difference is, its not been a month for me.... i have contacted NCS and also emailed nationality team about no acknowledgement for confirmation.....However i have contacted the Nationality helpline and they have confirmed that my application is on the system....

Hi Dan,

number is 0300 123 2253.

Call them and ask if they can resend or send acknowledgment letter.

When i called them again this morning, I was told today to call again on friday if i don't get anything in mail by thursday.

Update!

I checked my account yesterday - 07/08/14 - and can see the payment of £906 hanging so that means it was processed yesterday.

To my surprise I got an email today confirming payment has been taken and my application is being considered, it also include a case ID, I guess they wont be sending out letters again and all is done by email now ( I support this if thats the case). I guess that was why they updated the application AN form giving preference to emails as they asked this twice to make sure its correct.

It also says the application may take up to 6 months and if they cant process my application within 6 months they will let me know as soon as possible.

Anyone else got the email too?
