Dear all

I would be grateful for your valuable advice:

I have got ILR alongwith my wife and 2 children in April 2011. I and my wife, both are eligible to apply for British Citizenship now, satisfying 5 year residence rule. We have 2 children, the elder one 4 years old was born in India before we got ILR, but since then has been in UK apart from about 5 months in the 1st year when he was in India. My younger one was born in United Kingdom( 18 months old now). When I applied for ILR in April last year, we also got ILR for both kids, eventhough we could have gone for registration directly for my younger son. Both my children have got Indian Passports.

1. I and my wife plan to apply for citizenship as a Joint application shortly, can we add my children at the same time?

2. Under what category does my elder son's application has to be made and what form to be used?

3. For my younger son should I just register him seperately using MN1 Form?

Many thanks for your help.

Kumar

Yes. Apply together. There is a reduced fee for 2 children applying together.
2. Under what category does my elder son's application has to be made and what form to be used?
India born - under section 3(1).
UK born - under section 1(3).
Both using form MN1. One form for each child
3. For my younger son should I just register him seperately using MN1 Form?
Register together with brother (reduced fee). Use two separate forms.
