Hi, I'm applying for naturalisation on basis of being married to British. I have couple of questions.
1) does both of my refrees need to be British?

2) I know some one who can be my refree he works in IT in uk based company , can he be my refree? As I don't know if IT comes in those professions in the list.

3) does my refree need to sign the back of my photo as well?

4) in first section of form it asks to write immigration ref no, where can I find this in my passport?

Thanks for help

1. No. Just the non professional one needs to be British.
2. See last question in the sticky FAQ - most common questions.
3. No.
4. If you don't know, just leave blank.

No need for the naturalisation certificate. You can use his British passport instead.

Have you read the form? It is quite clear what the requirements are.
Form AN wrote: 5.1 One referee should be a person of any nationality who has professional standing, eg minister of religion, civil servant, or a member of a professional body e.g. accountant or solicitor (who is not representing you with this application). The other referee must normally be the holder of a British citizen passport and either a professional person or over the age of 25.

Thanks jumbo, I read the form but certain things I cudnt understand. Doctors are not on the list of professionals that's my concern, but many people on this forum has signed by doctors and it did not invalidated their application. Should I do the same
