Guys, I need urgent advice.

I cannot seem to find my passport application barcode in order to track my application as I am having to move house in a week. I have somehow misplaced it in the chaos from packing up. The application form has my old address.

I have tried several times to get in touch with the Durham office which is where I sent my british passport application by calling ips customer service. Each time the cust services tells me durham will call me back. its been 5 days and no call back!

Has anyone got the tel number to the durham passport office so I can call them directly. Otherwise who else do i contact to get a copy of the barcode number. the money has already been taken and the application was sent 12 days ago by special delivery post, not check and send. I just don't want my documents to get lost in the post.

no my friend....i had no joy with getting a direct working number... however someone from the durham office did call me on the 6th day of waiting for a callback (they used a blocked number).

unfortunately she said that she could not give me the barcode number due to data protection! but she gave me the search team's address to write to of my change of address - and asked me to include proof of my change of address......so i have done that and now waiting for the return of my documents.

during my searches however, I came across these numbers......0300 330 0915 (which when you ring now says it is no longer available) 01913860070 (which always seems to be busy) and 01913708108 (which never seems to go through!)..... sorry i can't be of much help but do let me know if you get lucky!
