Could someone help us how to apply British Passport for new born baby for Indian Parents. My self holding ILR visa and my wife holding spouse visa.
My new born baby, I understand new baby born will be eligible for British passport (I got ILR visa before baby born i.e ILR visa Dec 2011 and Baby born April 2012). Please confirm.
If baby eligible for citizenship, How to apply new passport, and what are documents required for passport ?
OR do we need to apply UK Visa?
Regards
Mohan

Child is British from birth. No need for a visa. Apply directly for a passport.

BC certificate is not relevant in your case as your child is British from birth.
Just send UK birth certificate and one passport showing ILR.

Hi,
I need some advise as i am quite confused offlate in getting a passport and visa for my newborn
My son was born in early October and I got ILR towards mid of the same month, that would mean I had to naturalise him (MN1) as a British citizen before we can apply for a British Passport for him. We submitted MN1 application towards end of Nov'14, however it is still under consideration with a case worker and could take upto 6 months for a decision.
we have an urgent travel out of UK and hence looked at other options of getting him an Indian Passport and UK VISA for re-entry. Here is where we are a bit confused as to what VISA he should be applying for, how much does it cost, whether premium processing is available etc.
Anyone providing some advise here would be greatly appreciated
