Hi,
I am planning to apply for naturalization and bit confused about referee.
I have my friend as school teacher and I believe he can be as referee for me and my family (kids). Is it correct?

however he is not in same school where my kids studied.
In this case, I am not sure whether he can act as referee for my kids.

You are correct.
A teacher is in the list of professionals who can act as referees. It is fine that he is your friend. However for the child application, the professional referee needs to be engaged with the child.

It means - he can act as another referee (for my child) and I will get try to check with school to get teacher signature.
