apologies if this has been covered already but i tried reading as much as i could but nothing similar was found.


i Arrived in the country on 20th of July 2007 as a visitor...

an Application for ILR was made under exceptional circumstance in October 2007...

i was Granted ILR in Feb 2009...

i have never left the uk Since 20th of July 2007 (almost 5 years)


can someone please tell me, when can i apply for Naturalization based on the above information ? so far i am getting very confusing advice

i will appreciate all the help i can get on this

so i have my form all filled up, just to double check if anyone would be kind enough to confirm it's all ok, would really appreciate it.

1: fee and AN form with picture

2: 2 passports (one current one and one old one with stamp of entry in uk)

3: life in uk test pass


those are the only 3 things needed or do i have to send proof of address like a bank statement or my college letter ?

i'm currently a student.

The last page of the application form contains a list of the required supporting documents. I suggest you use that to check.

one last question, i only just picked this up (silly me)

my passport expired in april 2012, because i didn't leave the uk in last 5 years, i didn't need to use my passport as such

so my question is, when i send my An application with my current passport (which has not expired) will it be ok ?

or

do i need to renew my passport first and then send it with my An application along with my expired passport ?

There is no requirement to have a valid passport so you can apply with an expired one. You will need to prove that you have been in the UK since the passport expiry date. See last page of the application form for examples of such evidence.
