Question regarding naturalisation form

I have an appointment with the National Checking Service on the 16th of July. In the application form for naturalisation, one of my referee's signed 8th July 2012. Should my referee's date and my date be the same?

I don't think they will insist on having the same date. July 8th should be fine as it falls in the same month.
