Hello
I.m new to this forum.i need your advice.i have recieved my PR today.i applied as a eea and that was eea3 form.now my son was born in the uk and i would like to register him as a BC.he was born before i obtained my Pr,so i understand i must register him first before i sent request for a british passport.my questions are:how to do it ,what form i will need to use and how much does it cost.thank you for your replay i know there is a few people here who knows a lot about immigration law.thank you

Just to confirm - was your child born before you completed 5 years of residence in the UK? The date in your PR blue booklet is irrelevant. Under EEA regulations, PR is obtained automatically after 5 years of exercising treaty rights. EEA3 application is just confirmation of the status.

If he was born after the 5 years (and before tou received the blue booklet), the child is British from birth. If he was born before the 5 years, you can register him as BC (assuming he was born in the UK).

I came to uk 2004 .my son was born in 2007 so he was born in the uk before i get my pr.now i got pr and would like to get BC for him,but im not sure how this works what app.i need to use.what is the cost.if you cold tell me more i would be very thanksfull

Jambo im trying to understand this info included in the link.so does it means i must register my son as a british before applying for passport and pay 551 pound if i obtained Pr after my son was born?could you confirm that?thank you

Thank you jambo for replay.all your advices are very usefull.i would like to ask you one more thing about mn1 app?if i recieved PR and now wants to send mn1 app.for my son do i need to include all papers again like i did for eea3 or i just send PR and payment and my sons ID and birthday certificate?thank you again and all the best

The FAQ I linked to has all the answers but there is no need to send the EEA3 evidence again.
