I am not sure, my query is relevant to this thread or not.
I received IRL on 02/09/2011 on the basis of 10 years long residence. I am due to apply for naturalization now 02/09/2012.
my query is regarding presence in UK for past 5 years.

I was present in UK on 02/09/2007 but I didnt have valid visa at that time. I was waiting for decision on my work permit appeal (Work permit was applied before my SEGS visa expiry). my appeal was accepted in november 2007 and I was grant FLR on 30/11/2007 for 5 years till 30/11/2012. My stay in UK was legal during all the time.

My question is "Do I satisfy the requirement of present in UK for past 5 years in UK"?

I'll appreciate your guidance against above issue. looking forward to hear from yourself.

I would think that your visa was still valid as you have submitted an appeal (section 3C/3D protection).
