I been told you will be hearing something shortly - Do anyone come across anything like this - just want to know how long you guys waited after that.

I believe an approval is coming your way , a few August applicants have already been approved , good luck .
I also called today , but the lady was not keen to give me anything but i came up with a ridiculous excuse that i wanted to know if the letter i sent has been scanned onto the system , thats when she asked for the ref , and she then said you dont get any update until after 6 months if no reply is received from HO , but then she went on to say something was updated on the 14th , which i checked was Sunday , so i just said , oh , ok . I dont think i shall be calling them for a few weeks now , will just be patient .

Mine came in 2nd Class, no signature required.

Same here. As far as I know, HO always uses regular 2nd class mail, except one provides them with a franked envelope.

Dear All,
Do we have to submit your current passport while you apply for Naturalisation? OR can we go to Nationality checking service and give them copies of our passport and travel anywhere while the application is in process?
I travel for work a lot and cannot be without my passport for weeks
please advise
Cheers

You can either submit your original passport per post (which means not having it for 3 to 4 months), or you take your original passport to the NCS (which will make a copy and return your original within minutes). Do not make copies yourself - that will not be accepted by either.
If you want to travel outside the UK after submitting your application and do not have an alternative form of identification, the NCS is your best and only chance.
