Hi,

i got ILR last year and now applying for citizenship this year.

but this year july i came to know about unpaid council tax from march 2005 for which liability order was taken in sept 2005. as soon as i received letter i paid in july 2012.

Now my question is :

1) Do i need to diclare in citizenship aplication or just leave it as its over 7 years old and paid. there is no CCJ against my name. i have checked my credit history and i have 999 points against 1000 with experian...and equifax shows excellent too.

Any help will be really appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

If there are no CCJ's then you should be fine, I assume you havent been decalred bankrupt as well. Late payments shouldnt be a problem.

It would be beneficial for others too who are looking for similar answers to their queries and are in same situation if you keep your conversation with other members of the board in open forum.

Hi navalaviator,

Many thanks indeed for your help.

About the pm thing, I do apologise and reassure that I never intended to hide help. I will keep this thread updated. Bur should I receive a reply from sun_ilr I'll definitely share that as well.

Yes, no need to declare, as long as you have made arrangements to pay off the debt, and didnt go to court. In other words as long as it has all been settled out of court.
