Hi,
Please advice whether I really need to submit parent and grand parents detail for applying first passport (via naturalization). I went to post office - check and send service and they clearly told that I have to provide these details however on guidance note (http://www.direct.gov.uk/prod_consum_dg ... 184487.pdf) page 14 - it clearly says that it;s not require. I am confused now and advice what exactly i need to do.

thanks,

Not required. However if you want to use check & send and they insist, you can either argue with them, be right but without the passport or just fill in the details. Nothing would happen if you provide additional information which is not mandatory.

See Q1 in Citizenship FAQs - Common Questions - Read before posting - Passport.

Thanks Jumbo,
I am planning to send via post now. For fees - I need to send just one fee detail form which will cover my family as well (2 adults and 2 kids and returning special delivery document fee which is £3 per each). Do I need to submit any covering letter to explain how i come up with fee or submit without any detail.

Thanks
