Afternoon every one.

So here we go.

Application for naturalization form, page 12:

Provide 2 references. Now. Ive got 1 british citizen who just knows me for 3 years and happy to provide all data needed.

The problem is - 2nd reference. Bearing in mind that i was need to find someone with a special profession, all i could get was my uni lecturer.
She was happy to give me reference until she found out what exactly is expected from her to provide (address, passport number etc) . So here is her reply on my email asking to give me a reference yesterday:

''I am a bit confused here, I thought they required an academic reference, which of course I will give but in the name of the University. I cannot give out my personal information to a current or former student , it would be a breach of my contract with the University.

The best thing to do is to give my academic credentials and academic address as below and they can contact me directly''

What should i do know ? thank you very much for help!!!

It is fine for her to provide the university address rather then her home. She doesn't need to put down her pasport number and can write "available upon request".

Having said that, it seems that she didn't realise it is reference to support an immigration related application.

Is there still a question not answered or do you just look for a second opinion?

If you don't trust what people tell you in a free website, maybe you should pay for a professional advice.
