I am indian by birth. I obtained ILR last year and due to apply for british naturalisation within few weeks.
After naturalisation /obtaining british passport , can I retain my Indian passport and travel to India using that and again enter UK using my British passport? Is there a way to retain Indian Citizenship?

My daughter was born when we both had work permit visa in India. She is now in UK in ILR status. Once registered is she british citizen by descent or otherwise?

Thanks for answering my queries.

Regards,
m

India don't recognise dual citizenship so you have to renounce citizenship and surrender your passport after naturalisation. However you can retain Indian passport for upto 3 months after naturalisation and use that for travel. Any use beyond 3 months will attract fine.

Don't become a BC.
