Hi,

I am due to apply for Citizenship in August 2013. I am a bit worried about the adress questions on the form. Basically for administrative reasons, I have always used my sister's address as my postal and permanent address for everything including banks, driving license, vehicle registration, electoral registration, P60 etc.

So I dont have to change 10s of addresses if and when i move. This has worked well so far and never had a problem at the time of Tier 1 Extn or ILR application. Although I pay the council tax, rent, bills etc for the place I am actually living at and it shows up on my bank statements, I never had any problem in my previous applications.

Howevr, I have heard that for Citizenship application, HO are likely do some deep checks on credit history, addresses etc. So I am in a fix now. I am not sure if I should change my address to my actual residential address on everything like driving license, vehicle reg, bank statements etc. etc. or should I just keep it as it is?

My worry is that my bank statements would show that I am paying council tax for another address (my actual residential address) and they can pick me on this.

Can anyone advice please?

Regards,

Zeeshan

It shouldnt be a problem. UKBA does know people sometimes have residential address and contact address peharps because you dont feel your residential address is not safe enough to recieve important post or you are not always around to retrieve posts etc.
Good luck.
