Hi All,

I and my wife have got indefinite to leave in the UK on 11/01/2012. Now we are applying for British Citizenship.

Together our applications we are also applying for our 4 year old who was born in the UK in 2009.

My question is in which section should we apply for the child applcation.

Based on the MN1 guide:

section 1 (3) birth in the UK to parents who are now settled in the UK or have become British citizens.

or

section 3 (1) child whose parents are applying for British citizenship.

Can someone shed some light on this.

Could you also please guide about the question below:

1.30 Child's mother's full name & maiden name.

About the maiden name, Should I write mother's maiden name that she had before marriage?

But that name is not on her passport. On the passport she has my surename.

What should I write then Mother's name before marriage or the Surename on the passport now?

OR

Shall I write like below

Full Name : Jane John Smith

Maiden Name : Jones

Appriciated your help.
