Postal application - Return of documents

Sorry to post this in sticky - Mods.
Feel free to delete this post and include the query in FAQs, if this sound a legitimate FAQ.

Q) If I was make citizenship application by post, do Home Office return the documents (read - passports / other important documents); soon after they have taken payment (assuming that they would have taken a photocopy for their records), or do you receive documents only with the naturalisation certificate?

Off late; looking at application tracker it seems postal applications have better turn around time compared to NCS application and hence inclination to apply by post.

A) Looking for an answer....

i think it is the same as ILR and if u submit via post they keep your docs until completion. Rather why not submit via your local NCS and you keep your originals after they have made copies?

hi ..i did send my aplication from post office ..on 2 nov ..deb card on 7 nov ..passport back 21 december 2012 with letter dated 19 december ...im still waiting ..3 month past since i did apply ..i keep waiting .its really hard waiting and thinking abt it evry day ..and not esy working my shift and my mind in liverpool lol ...its my favourite football team ..i hope to hear good news from my favourite city ..
