Form AN - Citizenship Certificate Reference Number?

I would've preferred not to clog the archives with repeated questions but I cannot find any historical discussions on this topic.

I've passed my LIUK test and am now looking ahead to naturalising, gathering all the necessary bits of information and wish to clarify this:

The AN form asks for my husband's Citizenship Certificate Number but there are three ref. numbers on the certificate as in this example. Which is it?

Danke schoen in advance.

There is only one "certificate number". This is the one you need.

My omission: The AN form asks for a Certificate Reference Number which left me confused as there is a certificate number as well as another reference number right beneath.

From your reply I take it that the 'Certificate Number' is the one.

Thanks.

I will tell you from my personal experience. My wife wrote both (ref no. & certificate no.) one below the other on Form AN.

Just for reference...

The reference number is normally your HO case ID. It starts with the first letter of your surname and then 6/7 digits. It's the same number you have seen on letters from the HO (if they bother to put it there).

The certificate number is a unique number to identify the certificate itself.
