British citizenship

Hi,
I got the residence permit against work permit on 14th May, 2007. On 14th May, 2012 I completed five years. I applied for the ILR and got that on July 31, 2012. The time was more than 5 years by approximately 2.5 months. Its just due to some personal issues that I could not arrange things within time.
My question is when will I be eligible for the citizenship...? Will that be after one year of getting ILR or can I apply after completing my 6 years. The one year on ILR will be completed on July 30, 2013. However,, my 6 years will complete earlier than this ie on May 14, 2013.
Will the 2.5 months time be counted towards one year (on ILR) for citizenship?
Thanks,
Akram
