We have received MN1 approval last week, and want to apply for my son’s British Passport. I called IPS Glasgow office today, for Fast Track service appointment, after taking my details they re-directed my call to nationality checking service Durham office. They said that I can’t apply for my child’s British passport if I don’t I have ILR when the child is born.

Parent’s ILR approved on 11/Jan/2013
Child Born on 30/06/2011
MN1 approval received : 01/Mar/2013

Did anybody apply for child’s British passport recently after receiving MN1 approval?

Any suggestions please?

Sounds as if they misunderstood your circumstances. Did you tell them your child has received a certificate of registration as a BC? There is no point of taking about your ILR. It is not relevant anymore. Your child is British.
