British Citizen's dependent Naturalisation without passport

Hello,

My wife is eligible for Naturalisation on the basis of a married to a British Citizen (I got naturalised last year) but I haven't applied for a British passport yet. Now guidelines doesn't say anything specific but as per supporting document guide,

SECTION 6 Evidence of marriage for applications made on the basis of marriage or civil partnership to a British citizen.
• Husband’s, wife’s or civil partner’s passport or birth certificate AND
• The marriage certificate or civil partnership certificate

I have emailed UKBA with the query as well but again not sure whether they will reply in time or not.

Is this acceptable and valid application?

Has anyone made any Naturalisation application in this way (based on the naturalisation certificate but without British Passport)? If yes, can you please post the outcome?

Thank you.

Regards,
