Non-Attendance of citizenship Ceremony

Hi All,

I am relatively new to this forum but i really require your help on a matter.
I applied for naturalization on November 2012 through the NCS and since then never got any correspondence from the UKBA.
Today i checked my mailbox and received a letter from the UKBA concerning non-attendance of a citizenship ceremony and it states that they sent me a letter on December 2012. The letter also states that if i don't state mitigating circumstances why i didn't attend the ceremony, them my application will be refused.
I didn't receive any letter from the UKBA and i am guessing royal mail has probably lost it during the Xmas rush.

I also have evidence of follow up emails that i sent them that they never replied. i am confused on what to do now and i would appreciate any pointers or advice

Thanks

Someone else on this forum had the same problem a few months ago. I can't find the post now. They explained their situation to the HO and obtained an extension.
