My wife is a British passport holder, originally born in India recently acquired British passport. I am an Indian passport holder. My son is a Indian passport holder and his passport is expiring in a month. We thought of applying my son's British passport rather going thru the renewal of Indian passport for my son.

How long it will take to get new British passport for my son, which form i've to download. Is there any complication in this with about to expiry Indian passport.

Was the child born before or after the mother acquired her British nationality?Was the child born inside or outside the UK?

My son was born before mother nationality, he was born in India.

So he has no claim to British nationality and would have to apply for this in accordance with the nationality rules. There is a residence period requirement.
