Current passport expire in Dec 2011

I went to NCS to book my appointment for naturalization application.
My passport expires in Dec 2011.
They asked for payslip from Dec 2011 till Now.
I have few payslip from previous job and still waiting for P45 from previous job.
I have just started my new job with new company.
Do I need to renew my passport before I send my application or what’s
the best option I have to submit my application?

To satisfy the residential requirements you need to prove that you were in the UK and didn't travel with an alternate travel document. Renewal of passport now won't necessarily help to address gap since Dec 2011.
Monthly payslips are an easy alternate option to confirm presence in the UK. Is it not possible to contact the previous employer ask for duplicate payslip? or perhaps a letter from them stating that you were with continous employment with them until recently?

I was unemployed from May 2011 to Feb 2012. I can produce jokseeker leters.
I can produce p45 from job centre once I received the job.
From feb 2012 to Dec 2012 I had job and I contain 6 to 7 payslip so far.
I was unemployed from Jan 2013 to March 2013.
Now I am working with my new job.
Kindly you tell me how I cover my period and what kind of other documents I can provide.

please include job seeker letters, P45 and payslips and explain your situation in a separate covering letter or on page 13 of the AN form. include if you have any additional evidence that confirms your presence in the UK e.g. appointment letters with GP etc.
employment is not a requirement for citizenship so missing payslips shouldn't be any problem however UKBA may ask for additional documents and approval may take longer.

I spoke with NCS in two different area.
They told me that I need mention details in page 13 on AN1 form. for missing period after passport expire. I trying to get my p45 from last job to cover most of the time.
I have one more question .
I have one CCJ on my record for late payment of £700.
I am paying monthly payment of £21 and I have record of that payment.
This CCJ is problem for me. This CCJ has happened in 2011.
Do I need to wait for three year befor I can apply for I can apply now and gave prove of my monthly payment.
