Hi I sent MN1 application for my children few weeks ago and today I received the original documents back with the letter saying application has been accepted and I shall receive the certificates shortly.

Now I need to apply for the passports for my Children (Twins) both under 2 Year from Pakistan and when I checked the "DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED WITH A FIRST TIME APPLICATION IF THE CHILD WAS BORN INTHE UNITED KINGDOM " section in guidance Notes it does not mention anything about the Certificate "REGISTRATION AS A BRITISH CITIZEN" SO I am a bit confuse here as children are abroad I have to send the application from there, was it necessary to apply for MN1 1st ?

You are required to send the Certificate of Registration even though it is not in the list as this is the child proof of British citizenship. I guess it is not there as this is not a very common case (child born in the UK but applied for a passport abroad).
