Dear all,
It would be a great help if someone can clarify my query please.

I, my wife and my eldest child was granted ILR in April 2012. Our eldest child was born in UK in October 2006 and youngest one was born in UK in January 2013.

Both my children have got Indian passport. The youngest one hasn't got any visa.

1. As my youngest child has already acquired Indian Citizenship, does the child has to apply for Registration before going for a British Passport?

2. Only my wife is applying for Citizenship. Can my wife and the two children apply for Citizenship together or they have to apply separately?

Many many thanks in advance.

1. Your youngest is already British. The UK allows dual citizenship. India doesn't. You can apply directly for a British passport for him but by doing so, he will lose his Indian citizenship. If you want him to keep the Indian citizenship, you can apply for Certificate of Entitlement (of Right of Abode).

2. Your wife and eldest child can apply at the same time or different times. It doesn't matter (in terms of cost or eligibility).
