I recently applied for my first passport using Check & Send service.

Paid £81.25 at the PO counter.

Now, I think PO have made a mistake in how much they should have charged me. I might be wrong about it, hence seeking opinion from members here.

Reason why I think they are charged me wrong: I ticked the box which said do you want your documents returned by secure delivery. Now that has a charge of £3. So if I understand it correct the PO should have charged me 84.25 instead of 81.25.

What will happen in this case? Will I get my documents back by SD or 2nd class post? Should I contact PO to clarify and pay the extra £3 that they have missed out by error?

You are right; an error has been made. Unless you are able to add on the £3.00 charge your docs. will be returned by standard royal mail post. In other words - 2nd class post.

Don't think I will be able to add the £3.00 charge. Will just have to hope the 2nd class post gets here.
