Knowledge of language/life in the UK-Test to be taken again?

Dear all,
Just a quick question regarding the Knowledge of language/life in the UK test. If I had already passed the test in 2012 to qualify for settlement and wish to apply for British passport in 2013, is it necessary to take the test again?

I presume not as in the application form for naturalisation, in section 1.22 there is an option - 'I met the knowledge of language and life requirement to qualify for settlement' - which can be ticked or the alternate option - 'I have passed the Life in the UK test and the confirmation can be attached'.

I would like to confirm this is the case and that I can tick the first option without undertaking the LIUK yet again!!

I want to ensure that the form is duly completed as per the guidelines as I cannot afford to have any delay or further costs if I get it wrong.

I would be grateful for the advice from previous applicants or experts in this area.

Many thanks,
KM

Thanks Jambo,
Apologies, i didn't come across this before..
I did a search on the whole forum with the keywords knowledge of language and life in the uk..it didn't pick up anything relevant...didn't see this sticky though as there was a lot of sticky under this topic and nothing with this specific title!!

thanks again for your time clarifying my doubts!!

cheers,
