Hi All,

I had applied for british passports for 2 adults + 1 child (born India) through post office Check and Send on 1 May 2013
Received by IPS - 3rd May 2013
SMS from IPS - 7th May 2013

I called IPS on saturday and asked them if they could accelarate the process as I had to make an emergency travel arrangement next week. The lady was very unhelpful and said I had 2 ways:
1. Call indian embassy to make emergency travel arrangement
2. Fax the hospital certf or consultant letter to peterborough office
3. cancel this application (again that would take 4 weeks)

HAs anyone undergone this situation, please suggest and help

This call centre people normally never helpful but thats not their fault it is the system. but you should fax it asindian dr should provide certificate . Best option is to write a cover letter with fax copy of certificate and fax them back. Hope things work for you.
