MN1 Application - Both parent passport and BRB needed?

Hi Guys,

I have a couple of questions about supporting documents for our child's MN1 application in order to register our 4 month UK born child as British citizen. I am sending the application in the post myself and not using NCS.

- Does both (me and my wife) of us need to include our original passport and BRP?

- Do we need to include both passport and BRP or one is enough?

Thanks

Maddie

One parent (showing ILR) is enough. Both passport and BRP are required but you can try and send copies. There was one report of successful application using just copies.

One quick question - shall I include RoyalMail self attested envelope for UKBA to return my original documents OR do they return the documents using recorded delivery anyway? Please advise.

You need to provide SAE or they use 2nd class.
