New Born Passport - Help with Section 8 of application form

Hi
I recently posted a thread about the documents required for applying for a passport and got my replies.
i am stuck at section 8 of the application form and requires your assistance and experience please.
As both ( me and wife) were born before 1982 and abroad .
so do we have to provide our grand parents details or our parent details.
if our parents details then
what kind of details ? as in the application form it is not clear of the details required.
could you please assist me further on this .
