I was on Tier-1 (G) and was granted ILR on 20-08-2012. My wife and three children were also granted ILR on the same date, i.e. 20-08-2012. Two of my children are over 18.

Now I am going to be eligible for Naturalisation on 20-08-2013 as by then I will have lived in the UK over 5 years and one year without 'immigration control'. What I am not sure is about my wife and children. By 20-08-2013 they will have live a year without immigration control, but in total they will have lived just over 3 years.

My question is, are they going to be eligible to apply for the Naturalisation with me on 20-08-2013, or they have to complete 5 years of residency on their own. Any reply preferably with a reference to the law will be highly appreciated.

Where was the youngest child born? If you naturalise when you can and then your wife can naturalise as a spouse of a British Citizen after 3 years residence and meeting the other requirements (click).

Your adult children will have to meet the standard requirements (click) as you did.
