Greetings

Please can someone with experience help on the following:-

Our child is due to be born soon via surrogate mother in India and I understand we have to complete the following paperwork:-

• MN1 form
• C2 form for British Passport

Can someone confirm if this has to be done in India or I can travel with the required paperwork and submit the application forms in London, while baby and mother are in India. As we are both British UK passport holders is there any way to fast track the process, so the baby can travel home? Also what other documents are required?

Thanks guys

* MN1 should be submitted to UKBA in Liverpool even if they child is abroad. The application can be made by post or using the local council (NCS) in the UK. The BHC is not involved with the application.

* Passport applications need to be submitted in the country the child is present. The BHC can be slow some times. No way to short circuit this part other than taking to BHC.

I guess you are more updated than me on this but I heard the rules regarding surrogacy have changed recently in India so might require more red tape than before.
