Hi,

I booked NCS appointment over the phone and I have recd letter confirming the same.

In letter it says - "You are required to be physically present in the United Kingdom at the start and end of the 5 year qualifying period. 20th Sep 2008 - 19th Sep 2013"

On 20th Sep 2008, I was out of the UK on holiday and came only on 30th Sep.

Do I need to postpone the appointment?

Regards,

Yes, if the UKBA receives your application on a date that you were not physically present exactly 5 years before, your application will fail and be refused.

The safer option will be to apply for citizenship via NCS on or after 30 September.

or you can apply the 20 and tell NCS not to send the file until the 30th. they hold it.
