Hi-Applying for Registration as British Citizen for myself and family. Realized that we have lost my elder son original birth certificate who was born in India, all I have is duplicate copies now.
* His passport has DOB
* His Resident permit(issued last year when we got ILR) has DOB
* Letter from Home Office confirming his ILR application successful and issuance of Resident Permit has DOB
* His NHS Red book records his DOB

I am trying to understand if above will suffice the absence of the original birth
certificate. Read the guidance doc but couldn't figure out any option for missing birth certificate.

All the other documents you mentioned will suffice

Contact a Notary Public in the interim
They will certify it as true copy based on the other documentary proofs you have.
Enclose the notarized birth certificate copy.
You then try and figure out how you get another Replacement one from India.

If it is in India, you can get official copy of birth certificate, as many as you like, easy to get and cheap.
