Finance Director as Referee?

Hello,
Can finance director of my company can be the professional referee? He was an accountant buy now designated as finance director. I see Accountant in the list but not Finance director.
Your input will be much appreciated.
Referee should be fine

He should be falling in this category of acceptable professions
Director/Manager/Personnel
Officer of a VAT
registered Company

If he is a qualified accountant (even if not working as one), then he can act as reference.

Thanks lot for reply. But I was thinking 'Director/Manager' mentioned in the guideline is actually referring to the director or manager of the whole company not just one specific department? I hope I am wrong
