Same here, I have sent mine before you so it is really strange that people sent after me got their money taken while I am still waiting . It has been 3 weeks of enjoyable waiting no money been taken !

Sent today 22/10/13 through Solicitor.
Tracked in evening on royal mail, it said its on its way. later no status available. I assumed as it is said in one of the royal mail delivery status forum, when a delivery is in transit it doesn't show the status. Will check tomorrow and hope it would be delivered tomorrow. The address is used is

Finally , i can see a balance drop by £876 today morning. I made my application through NCS on 7th Oct , reached HO on 8th morning , money taken on 23 Oct

HO received my application on 9th,I am hoping they will process with application payment received on the 9th Oct by tomorrow.I don't see any drop in bank balance yet...

Human beings are strange beings. They spend their life to gain more and more money.

At the same time on occassions they seem too keen for their money to be taken away.

Unless you sent your application by yourself and need your pp to be returned asap, I wouldn't worry about HO not responding in a few weeks. Am sure once 28th October is out of the way, HO will start working on all applications recieved before 28th assuming all people applying after 28ths will be busy trying to pass their test requirements and HO wont be overwhelmed with applications like as it is now.

To be honest, am not panicking because I applied via NCS and am going for my Christmas holiday. Much as i would like to become British as soon as, its out of my hands now and no need to loose sleep. I will worry about the application after January 2014; that is if HO have not responded by then.

That's my take on things. Join my boat if you are tired of worrying about things you cannot control.

Hello all, I received my acknowledgement today, dated 21Oct. They sent it twice actually - 2 Different envelopes of the same letter.

Eligibility criteria: Hsmp + Tier1 + 1 year PR = 6yrs total.

My wife is due to apply for her naturalisation using the form AN, during the first week of November - She has completed the form AN December 2012 as opposed to using the new form dated September 2013.

There is minimal change to the form (infact none), other than some formatting and page numbers. Has everyone who has applied in October used the September 2013 form? If not, do you know the dates till which the old form is still usable?

Not sure if getting the new form signed again by the referees is necessary!!!

That form was available from 1st oct and ur wife is applying in november I would say to use new form. Most of oct applicant had to use old forms but like u had many days in to fill new one.

dont take any risks , just use the new form. same thing happened when I got my referees signature , just at the end of September, they released the new form and my references were far from my home. slight delay happened because of this but i had to do it , to make it perfect. I am not sure about the case workers for naturalisation but some case workers for visa at border agency are dumb. i once had to show the guidance notes to prove my point for applying a visa extension that i dont come into the new rules.
