Outside of UK during naturalisation application

Hi, I am looking for some advice... On Monday my partner is going to apply to be naturalised as a British citizen, through our local nationality checking service.

We are going to be out of the UK visiting her parents for the whole of December.

My question is, should we write this on the additional information page, as I heard that if the UKBA write to request further information, you only have three weeks to reply. Or, would telling them this cause any issues?

Thanks, Paul.

No need. You can leave the country until you get your approval. Be aware you have 3 months to attend ceremony after approval is granted.

Good luck with your application.

It would be wise to have someone checking your post in case the HO write to you.
