BC application approved after 6 months

Finally my wait is over when the approval letter arrived this morning. It took exactly 6 months for the Home Office to process my application. I also had to get the local MP involved during this time.
Below is my time line:
Eligibility criteria: HSMP + Tier-1 + ILR
Application Type: Joint
Method of application: Basingstoke NCS
Date of application: 08 May 2013
Date of approval: 08 Nov 2013
Date of Ceremony: haven’t booked yet
