They will take the citizenship away from you and will start deportation procedures.

tlogic your post is not helpful, please refrain from scaremongering. Once approval is granted it is unlikely to be halted.

Folks,
There is a huge anamoly in the Laws relating to assaults and Suspended Sentences in UK. Nobody has made an attempt to rectify the laws over the last 40 years and bring in Uniformity.
As a result there is all round confusion. In this instance I believe it will be a battery which is on the lowest scale (originally this was not an offence before they combined it into one definition as Assault and Battery).
But sadly it has now been classified as an Offence Involving violence. Unless the OP has done something serious, planned or with an offensive weapon in a pre-mediated manner, he would not have been let off with a statement by the Police. ABH and GBH are the ones that could potentially make a negative impact on BC applications. And unless the person has a jail sentence of 1year or more, automatic deportation procedures cannot be invoked.
cheers

If someone dies before taking oath and after approval, will he/she be regarded to have died as a British citizen. What would be their citizenship status in heaven (or hell) ?
Can the naturalisation be given on the ceremony posthumously?

In the US people have been granted citizenship posthumously, usually in
military service.

Interesting. A decent and repectful piece of legislation.
