Naturalisation, Date of First Arrival!!!!

Post by rana12570 » Sun Dec 01, 2013 2:10 pm

Could you guys shed some light on a very tricky question asked on the naturalisation forms!

Provide the first date of arrival with the intentions to settle in the UK?

My question is if someone arrived on a student visa but then later got married to a BC, then what date of first arrival with the intentions to settle in the UK should be provided?

Also where an applicant never travelled in and outside the UK before getting married to BC other than on student visa, then what date should be provided??? :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :?

Chill out mate. This is not a tricky or important question.

Simply put the date of first time arrival into UK. It does not matter what visa was it on. Visitor, student or in the back of a lorry.

A truly tricky question

rana12570,

While your predicament is true, and while the first day you ''arrived in uk with an intention to settle'' was that first date with the BC you married, while it will also be a memorable date, which you will remember for life

The question on the form refers to the first day you landed in UK. Mention that date and where you landed, if it was Heathrow, mention London, if it was Glasgow mention Scotland and so on.

In lighter vein if they wanted to know the actual date when you intended to settle in UK, the Stupid Home Office would have to start a dating site for immigrants and force them to log actual days and dates to prove when their intention to settle in UK actually started. LOL
