UK Naturalization - (HSMP -> Tier1 -> ILR) - English

Hi All,

As per the recent changes to naturalization procedure, now the applicant need to provide following, in addition to Life in the UK certificate:

------------------------------
Certificate showing that you have a speaking and listening qualification in English at
B1 CEFR or higher, or an equivalent level qualification;
--------------------------------

My question here is that I came to the UK under HSMP where I provided them my IELTS certificate with a band 6.0. Now the certificate has expired !

Please can you tell if I need to pass IELTS or CEFR once again, before I apply for Naturalization application

Many Thanks

A

When did you take the test? If it was more than 2 years ago you'll have to do it again: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... -tests.pdf

Thanks Guys, for the help.

I now understand that even though I passed IELTS 5/6 years ago, I need to retake the exam.

Thanks

No, you have been advised to search for similar topics and there are a few of them. But in two words, for purpose of naturalisation only, you can submit your expired IELTS provided you scored 4 at least.

Ayyubi, now please come on! I am new to these forums and have still not been able to find clear answer. The references are for ILR but nothing confirming Naturalization with expired IELTS certificate.

And, your tone is like, you will crucify me for the sin of posting the question!!!

it would have helped if you could send me reference... but yeah, some people ... Ho-Ha!!

cant waste my energy on giving you explanations!!

An expired IELTS is still acceptable for settlement and naturalisation.

Many Thanks Amber, for letting me know.

I understand this form is not an alternate to professional advice.

Cheers

Well, if you had taken just one minute, you would have noticed that the answer is there, in black and white, with reference, for settlement and for naturalisation.

Even after the hint of asking you to browse the forum, you didn't notice many of the similar posts.

One of them, not far down from your post was this >>>>>>

Ayyubi,

Thanks for sending the link but you sound like being too bossy - I mean, I'm failing to understand why you sound like too angry and unhappy!

I dont think I can help you with that.

But, thanks for being helpful :) Have a nice evening. ;)

Sorry if I sounded bossy.

All I mean to say is, that I am sure people who have been through tier visas and HSMP etc, will be clued up guys. I am sure you are too, been through all the procedures.

The forum is there to ask questions if one does not understand something. But come on guys, its just a question of making that little effort and browsing for a few minutes on the forum before asking a question. :cry:

Good luck with the application.

Hi there, is a EXPIRED TOEFL also still acceptable for naturalisation application which some one had presented it at the entry clearance(HSMP) time please?
