Applying for BC

Hi,

Sorry in advance if this question has been answered before I have tried looking but could not find it but it is regarding the life in the uk test.

My husband obtained ILR based on marriage in January 2013. (Entered UK 18th Feb 2011, 2yr spouse visa)

We are now preparing to apply for BC but I have seen that the language rules have changed since October 2013.

My question is:

Can we use just the life in uk test result which we used for ILR application for BC application or does my hubby has to do the speaking and listening B1 qualification in addition?

Can we apply from January when he was granted ILR? We applied dead on 28 days before hubby would have been in the UK for 2 years or would we have to apply on after the 18th Feb??

Thank you in advance

He will need the B1 English qualification as well as the Life in the UK test. Are you a British Citizen?

Then he can apply as soon as he's completed 3 years residence in the UK. i.e 3 years from the date of entry into the UK 18 Feb 2014. Make sure he was actually in the UK 3 years prior to the date you submit the application.
